    • @BasementElectronics

Bluetooth on the Raspberry Pi has come a long way in the eight years since I posted this video. Now, you manage Bluetooth the same way you would on any other Linux computer - whether using the desktop or command line tools. If demand is really high enough, I suppose I could revisit the subject.

@@BasementElectronics good. I am starting to build a remote car with a joystick(my final year project), and I am not considering to use a mobile app, for some security reason. by the time I received your reply. I am able to interpret the code from the control LED example, using the one bit signal to kick start (the characteristic) the motor from the peripheral side. and using the same method to run other characteristics for the movement of the motors. it's not perfect, but sending a string (byte) out is just too complicated for me, as I have zero programming background. Anyway, thank you so much for all the support. the world will be more fruitful for all the youtube channel like this and all the unselfish sharing.

Thanks for your video on the OV5640. I'm waiting for one I ordered but it's not wide angle. Have an ESP32-CAM with OV2640 located in an HO boxcar to stream "cab" video as it goes around layout. Using external antennae as well. Works but notice some "lines" in the video stream ... so like you ... decided to try the OV5640. Given your experience, I'll be mindful of the heat issue. BTW ... there is a daughter board for ESP32-CAM with USB connector to make programming a bit easier. All the best ...

While you are right, the point of the stream was more just to turn the camera on while I research for my next video. Being the first time I streamed in a while, I was also working out a lot of technical details in the background. I hope these get smoother as I go on. I followed this and used pieces from your github and was able to get mine up and running (albeit converted to in/hr because I'm working slightly south of you in Philadelphia ). How do I alter the code to give me total rainfall in a rain event? I'd like to have it count the tips over a 24 hours period, but as a non-coding individual, I'm struggling to isolate the "thing" to count over time. I know I could calc it backwards from the rainrate, but I thought an actual count of tips would be more accurate.
